My name is Debi Smith and I am the Treehouse and Children's Director.
How did you first get connected with this community?
I was hired as the Youth Director in 2018 and moved to kids ministry in 2024.
What's one thing you love most about serving here?
I originally came for the HUB. I stay because of the amazing community of people here that I get to serve and serve with.
Tell us one quirky or surprising fact about you.
I like peanut butter on my hamburgers, and I will not eat pizza with sweet sauce. Gross. I love playing cooperative and strategic board games and fantasy games.
What's a Bible verse, quote, or song lyric that inspires your work?
Bible verse: Ephesians 2:8-10: For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
When you're not at church, where might we find you?
At home spending time with my husband Jeff and my adult children or reading a book.
